Ahoy!

Today we attended a Pirate Party for a little boy in Kaleb's class. It was so cute! The boys had a blast as you can see.
They spent a lot of time getting all of this together. The only problem was the party was from 10:30 till 1:00 and they didn't serve food. All they gave the kids were Cheetos and plain Lays potato chips. Plus cake but the boys just eat the icing. They were starving so we headed to McDonald's afterwards.

End of the Year Program

Kaleb's on the far left in the front row with a purple shirt.

Then we went to the art show. I couldn't talk to their teachers because I would have cried. Yes, I'm pathetic.

Then Blake came over and played the rest of the afternoon. They've gotten so big they can barely fit on the riding toys.

First trip to the movies

Today was Max's 5 1/2 birthday party. His birthday was in October and his Mom is just now having the party. It was suppose to be a "boys only backyard bash". Due to all the rain, the backyard was a mud puddle so the bash was canceled. She changed it the day of to a movie party. The boys were stoked. They had no idea what to expect. They kept asking me if we had to drive a long time to get there and couldn't believe it was right by the dry cleaners.

The movie was "Battle for Terra" and it was terrible. All the boys sat on the back row of the theater with their popcorn and coke. All the Mom's sat in front of their kids so we were easily accessible. Only one other man was in the theater because it started at 12:20 on a school day. It was awesome for that rowdy group! Kaleb and Austin shared a seat at first then Austin decided he needed to sit in my lap. I brought his green so he curled up and fell asleep pretty quickly.

After the movie we headed over to Max's house to open presents. The boys had fun jumping on the trampoline but got extremely muddy from their dog.

Last day of preschool:(

Today was Kaleb's last full day of preschool and
I'm absolutely heartbroken! I can't believe he's about to start Kindergarten. I wish he could stay this way forever. I cherish every second I have with the boys and don't take anything for granted. My life is 100% devoted to them and I couldn't imagine it any other way. Who knew I use to be a manager of a large, worldwide company, making big bucks and doing all I ever dreamed of. Well, that's what I thought.

Now I get unlimited hugs and kisses and tons of arguments and complaints when I make them actually do something. It's completely worth all the sacrifices Brian and I have made and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Two trees down

The boys loved today! We had about 15 Mexicans running around the house cleaning all the gutters and cutting down two trees. They brought in a lot of equipment so the boys were mesmerized. We basically just sat there and watched them do everything. It really was entertaining. Here's what's left. Nothing too exciting. Just a lot of fire wood and two stumps that were grinded.

Luau

Today was Austin's Luau at school. He normally doesn't go on Monday's but since they had a party, his teachers asked me if he could come. Austin heard the word "party" so he told them he would.

While walking into school he started feeling weird about what he had on. No one else was dressed up because only the 2 year olds were having a party. Once in his hall he asked me if he could take the stuff off and I told him he could. As soon as he saw all his friends in his class with silly stuff on, he yanked the stuff out of my hands and started jumping up and down telling me to put it on. I couldn't get it back on him fast enough! He's so aware of his surroundings and already wanting to fit in, Crazy!
Kaleb also got some luau stuff . I wish we could just buy for one child but it doesn't work that way. Kaleb also likes to hula dance as you can see in the pictures:)

Mother's day

I hope everyone had a fabulous day! Brian and I read the newspaper while Austin took pictures with my camera.
Then we got ready and headed over to Brian's uncles house for lunch. I swear they can eat some hot salsa. Uncle Mark made two batches of it. One was mild and the other was hot. I tried the mild and thought my mouth was going to catch on fire. Most people ate the hot and made fun of me for not being able to handle the mild. Boy was it HOT!

We stayed for several hours then headed home to cut down a tree and cut some branches off another one. I didn't take a picture of the trees before we cut them down but here is the mess we made prior to the RAIN! Then we had to clean it up getting soaking wet and extremely dirty. I'm so sick of the rain.....
I received all my Mother's day presents on Friday after school. The kids couldn't wait to give them to me. Austin gave me a fan that said "I'm your biggest fan" and a plaque that he made. Kaleb gave me a plant with his picture and a letter. The blue is what Kaleb said italic is me. It was too cute not to post.
To Mom with love,
My mom is special because she gives me kisses.
I like it when my mom takes me to the park.
My mom can do many things! I think she's best at writing. (I have the worst handwriting of anyone I know! Seriously, it's terrible).
My mom has a pretty smile! I like to make her smile by being nice to her.
My mom is as pretty as a yellow dog. (I was talking to two of my friends when I read this. I told them I was as pretty as a yellow dog and asked them what they got. One was as pretty as a bumblebee and the other a rainbow. Kids are so funny).
My mom is smart! She even knows how to do her alphabet.(It's official, I'm a genius!)

It's a webbie!

The boys decided they were going to wear boxers to school today. I tried to talk them out of it. They pull their pants up and the boxers just stay crammed up their rear ends and hanging out the top of their pants. It looks painful! I gave both of them a wedgie and told them that their underwear would feel like this all day. They proceeded to walk around for about 10 minutes showing each other their wedgies and laughing hysterically! They both put their pants on and we were out the door still wearing boxers.
When I got to Austin class to get him this afternoon, his boxers were of coarse hanging out the top. I immediately fixed them telling him he shouldn't have worn them. His teachers just busted out laughing, actually crying they were laughing so hard. Apparently, during bathroom a break Austin pulled his boxers up his rear and gave himself a wedgie for all the boys and his teacher to see. He proceeded to tell them that this is a webbie. His teacher gained her composure and corrected the word to "wedgie". Man, what are these parents teaching their children these days?

Outside since 8:15

It was a race this morning to get outside and play basketball. We ate breakfast, had our baths, got ready for school, and made lunch so we could play the rest of the morning before school. The boys LOVE the new goal!

Big Helpers!!!

Kaleb's really been into basketball lately. We play it every Tuesday and Thursday at the gym and it's all he talks about. He keeps asking me to get him on a basketball team but that's not going to happen. I'm not signing him up for anything until I know he's going to stick with it.
Brian and I decided to get him a goal so he can practice. We went to Sports Authority today and picked out one that can adjust as the boys grow. They were so excited! As soon as we got home the boys were stoked about putting it together. Austin ran upstairs to get his tools.

Then helped Dad get the real tools out of the shed.

Lost all the pieces(checkout the hat).

Read the directions on how to start.

Safety first! The boys made Dad wear safety goggles. Needless to say Brian didn't wear them long. It took Brian a couple of hours to put it together but since it was raining we didn't get to play with it. Maybe tomorrow.
