Fall is falling

Today was our first of many leaf days of the year. Our yard was covered from head to toe within one week. Austin got a blower for his birthday and had to help Brian out. Most of the time Brian blew between Austin's legs so it looked like he was really blowing leaves. I didn't get a picture of that because my job is picking them up. Yep, my allergies and I are ready for fall to be over.

Roll Tide

As most of you know, Brian and I are Alabama fans. We love watching the Tide roll over their opponents and live for Saturday's during football season. Yes, were even fans during the bad years. No matter what the season holds, as long as we beat Tennessee, were happy. We've told our kids we'll pay for any college they want to go too as long as it's not Tennessee. Their okay with that because Tennessee is throw up orange and not a cool orange:) Even though we love Alabama and their biggest rival is Auburn, for Brian and I, it's Tennessee. Brian and I are not smack talkers but every Tennessee fan we know, is. It drives us crazy! Were trying to teach our kids dignity and to hold the upper hand in sports so we like to put our game faces on and keep our mouths shut. ROLL TIDE!
PS: If our kids do decide to go to UT, Brian and I are buying an amazing RV and traveling around the US instead. Maybe they will want to go there so the 529 money is OURS:)

Garage Sale

I've never had a garage sale but the weather's been so nice that I decided it was time to clean out the attic. I've been talking about having one for the past 8 months but I haven't followed thru with it, until I mentioned it to my friend Trish. Next thing I knew she booked the clothes rack to be delivered. At that point, I knew I actually had to follow thru with my intentions. I'm so glad she pushed it along or 8 months from now I would still be saying "I think I'm going to have a garage sale."

Today was the day. Trish came over at 6:20 (I thought I was gonna die) then we headed out to stick up the signs. I'm glad there wasn't much traffic on Poplar because I felt like an idiot. We laughed the whole time hoping no one we knew would see us.

The weather was gorgeous, the traffic was good, and then there was Austin. I'm not sure if you've ever done a garage sale with a child before but I wouldn't suggest it. I sold a lot of their baby toys and he moved pieces from one toy to the next over and over. He also pulled a lot of toys out of the garage that weren't for sale. I got so tired of telling people "it's not for sale" that we finally had to put signs up. About 3 hours into the sale Austin started getting into it. He was our little salesmen. Older people would walk up and he'd go right up to them, put his hand on his hip, and say "what do you want to buy". Trish and I would giggle and the customers would get a stunned look on their faces then laugh. When he would sell something his customers would give him the money(with my supervision) and he'd put it in his pocket. Towards the end of the day, he would try and give them a dollar to buy something. Luckily, everyone turned him down but he was really trying to get a sale. He loved talking to all the new people and showing the kids how the toys worked. If the kids really wanted a toy and their parents wouldn't buy it for them he would tell them "it's okay, you can just have it". He was so sweet and cute the entire time. If I went to a garage sale and he was working it, I'd buy something from him.

It's been awhile!

Sorry it's been so long since I updated this thing. I feel so bad but it really hasn't been that high on my priority list. Here's the breakdown of everyone.

Kaleb's going to school 5 days a week and doing great. His school work has been phenomenal but his conduct is always a question. The first week of school he kept getting in trouble for playing in the bathroom. He would climb the walls thinking he wouldn't get in trouble because his teacher couldn't come in the bathroom because she's a girl. He found out real quick that she could and has finally stopped climbing the walls in the restroom. He cut his hair the other day but didn't get in trouble. He thinks it's too long and I'm working on getting him a haircut.

Austin's going to school 2 days a week and loves it. He wants to walk into school by himself because Kaleb does but I don't let him. He thinks I'm cramping his style. Oh well! He can get over it because I'm not ready to let go. On Monday's and Friday's we go to the gym then do a ton of errands or clean house. Wednesday's are our fun day. We've gone to the Big Backyard every Wednesday except for 9/16. He doesn't care about the Big Backyard as much as he does feeding the fish. I went to Walmart and bought a huge bag of fish food so we take our own and feed them for hours. It's really quite entertaining.

Brian's work was crazy last month. They had a goal to sell 500 cars and sold 596! He worked the entire month from 8 am till at least 10 pm everyday. I couldn't wait until August was over. It was by far the hardest month of the year for all of us. The stress was way too much for Brian and I and I probably cried at least every other day if not more. Brian was gone, Kaleb started Kindergarten, and I turned 30!

About me...........well what can I say, life is CRAZY! I'm back in school taking Anatomy and Physiology. My teacher is awesome and I'm very fortunate to have gotten her. She speaks English which is a plus for Biology teachers because most of them barely do. I'm in school the entire time Austin is so I have zero time to myself this year. That's why Monday's and Friday's are extremely packed with errands and grocery shopping. Austin's such a trouper.

Brian's picking the kids up from school on Thursday's because I don't get out until 3:30. It breaks my heart when I drop them off because I know I won't be there when they get out. Yes, I still cry so if you see me on Thursday's walking out of school, please don't talk to me. I'm making a beeline to my truck so I can boohoo by myself. Pathetic, I know. I've even been doing my labs before hand trying to get out earlier. It's worked so far but next week I have to use a microscope so I can't do it by myself.

My first test is Thursday. I understand all of the Anatomy but the Chemistry is where I'm having problems. My mother in law is going to watch Austin on Wednesday so I can study. Hopefully, I'll do good but we shall see. I'm the only person I know of in my class that is taking it for the first time. Everyone else is repeating it and seems to have the upper hand. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to study a lot harder.

Riding bikes

Both the boys learned to ride their bikes without training wheels today. We took Kaleb's off first and he took off. Austin decided he also wanted to learn. We nervously took his training wheels off and he did great. He makes it the curviest straight road you've ever seen but he's so cute riding his bike. Brian and I are so proud of them.
